Choose a retrieval setup

| Need | Recommended setup | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Scene, action, place, or object | Semantic + Visual | person enters a crowded station |
| Exact quote, name, or number | Lexical + Transcription | the project launches next month |
| Scene plus spoken topic | Hybrid + both | speaker explains the project timeline |
If a term was transcribed incorrectly, try a spelling variant or switch from Lexical to Semantic or Hybrid.
Entity-assisted search
Use Entity or type @ when the search should start from a known person.
Choose the person from the list, then verify the actual footage and time range.
Entity suggestions are a discovery aid, not editorial proof.
Before saving a clip
Verify all four:
- correct source;
- correct time range;
- correct preview moment;
- supporting transcript or visible evidence.
