Ask a cited question and open the video
Use this workflow when you need a factual answer before choosing clips or writing a Produce brief.
1. Open Ask and select sources
Start a new thread and choose the smallest source set that can answer the question.

2. Ask one source-answerable question
Write a question with a clear subject, event, or time range. Avoid asking for facts that are not present in the selected footage.
What decision is described in the selected footage? Cite the supporting moments.3. Verify citations
Read the answer as research, then open each citation. Confirm the visible action, spoken words, source title, and time range before treating the claim as evidence.
4. Continue to Search or Produce
Search for the verified moments, save them to a Working Set, and write the Produce brief. Ask supports research; the editor remains responsible for the final selection and wording.
