Entity-assisted search to Studio

Entity-assisted search can help locate a person across indexed footage. It is a discovery aid, so review every match against the original video.

1. Create the entity

Open Entities, select Add entity, enter a recognizable name, and add clear reference photos. Wait until the status changes from Processing to Ready. Entity readiness and source indexing are separate background jobs.

2. Search for matches

Open Search moment, select the smallest relevant source set, and use the entity control or an @ mention. Play each match and confirm the face, source, timestamp, and surrounding context.

3. Save and review

Save verified matches to a focused set. Use Produce from Set when the set supports a clear brief, then open the ready result in Studio.

If no matches appear, check that the entity is Ready, the source belongs to the active index, and any retro-resolve job has finished.
