A focused query gives Search moment a clearer retrieval target. It does not guarantee a useful result; every returned card still needs editorial review.

Start broad, then narrow

Begin with the story beat you need:

Then add one or two constraints:

Select the smallest useful source set and use Semantic, Lexical, or Hybrid based on whether meaning, exact wording, or both matter.

Validate the result

Play the strongest candidates and confirm the source, time range, picture, speech, and context. If the results are too broad, narrow the source selection or query. If the results are too sparse, remove an unnecessary constraint or try a wording variant.

Save only verified moments to a focused set.
