Create 16:9 short clips

Use Agentic Long → Short when Composer should watch one ready source, discover useful moments, and recut each highlight into a distinct landscape take. This mode creates 16:9 outputs and sends successful takes to editable projects.

1. Open Create highlights

Open Sources, confirm the source is Ready, open its action menu, and select Create highlights.

This verified example used the neutral public copy of Tears of Steel.

2. Choose Agentic Long → Short

Select Agentic Long → Short under Editing approach. The option is labelled Agent-edited · 16:9 to distinguish it from source-faithful vertical Reframe.

Configure the run:

SettingExampleWhat it controls
Number of highlights1How many editorial takes the run should create.
Highlight length30s–59sThe requested duration range; this example targets about 45 seconds.

AngleA concise character-driven recap of Celia and the robot conflictOptional editorial direction for moment discovery and the recut.

An angle should describe the story lens, not dictate unsupported facts. Leave it empty when the agent should choose the strongest take from the source.

Select Generate with Agent once.

3. Follow discovery and cutting

Composer opens the run-detail page. The settings summary confirms the requested length and Brand Template while the status moves through moment discovery and cutting.

Takes starts at 0. Highlights appear on the same page as each cut becomes available. You can leave the page and return from ReframeAgentic without starting another run.

When a card shows Cutting…, discovery is complete but the editable project is still being assembled. Wait until Open in Studio becomes available instead of submitting the same source again.

4. Review each take

When a take is ready:

  1. Play the whole take and compare its claims with the source.
  2. Confirm the edit follows the requested angle without removing necessary context.
  3. Check the 16:9 composition, captions, overlays, intro, and outro.
  4. Open the useful take in Studio and refine timing or text when needed.
  5. Export only after playback and the downloaded MP4 both pass review.

Agentic Long → Short creates an editorial first cut. It does not replace factual, visual, and brand review by an editor.
